i have had these letter magnats on my fridge for a long time... and to be honest, i am not really sure where i even got them!! but leave it to my clever mom to create something with them!! in case you can't tell: sally, sam, hawk, jen and kev! :)
i love lazy days!! today i finished watching season 4 of gilmore girls... for the 3rd time!! boy! i love this show!! one of the best tv shows ever!!!
i am in the process of making a few t-shirt quilts!! i think i have about 3 of them in mind!! well, here is my massive pile of shirts etc that i am going to use, now i just need to sit down and cut them out!! :)
my mom and i went down to visit my brother sam today. we saw this beautiful mountain on our drive!! i am not a big fan of winter and snow... but this is pretty!
i left for work before kevin did this morning, so when i came home from i saw this note on my bedside table!! hee hee! it makes me smile!! see... i told you we call each other turkey!! :)
angie cracks me up!! when we get truckloads of water in at work we have to make sure they are all labelled with the correct item #. well, apparently the best way to get all the signs is to tape them all over yourself and then find the right pallet!! :) i love that she posed for this pic! and check out her cute little pregnant belly!! she is due on christmas day!!
i was in charge of an activity for yw this week and i wanted to do some fun thanksgiving day craft! i found this project online and thought it was cute. but i worried that the girls (ages 12-17) would think it was too ... kiddish. nope!!! they loved it! it was fun to see how creative they got with each of their turkeys!! this was mine... i just did it really fast so i would have a sample, but i plan on pulling it out every year with the rest of my decorations!!
i love this sign!! kevin and i have always called each other "turkey"! so when i saw this a couple of years ago, i had to buy it!! i should keep it up all year round, cuz it fits us so well! but i just pull it out at thanksgiving time! :)
this fun sign is colleen's. she made it for halloween last year, but we keep it up all year round. cuz with 4-5 women sharing the same office... we can all be a little witchy sometimes! :)
tonight we went over to maryann's house and had a little halloween party!! we had glow in the dark jewelry (note the great head band my mom is wearing!) , we carved pumpkins and wore fun shirts!! we always have a great time hanging out with "the gang"! :) happy halloween!! boo!!
today we were able to dress up for halloween at work!! wahla!! here are our costumes!! can you guess what we were?! BROWN NOSERS!!

so i am wandering around work this morning and i dropped something... i lean over to pick it up and i hear... RRRRiiiiiipppppppp!! dang! i quickly go to investigate and find that i have ripped a hole in the bum of my very favorite jeans!! :( good thing i wore a longer shirt! i just was really careful to make sure i was covered all day! geez....
today is my cute friend, holly, birthday!! i wasn't able to see her today... but this is the cute birthday gift she game me for my birthday this year! i am so lucky to have her in my life!
well ian and sara left just in the nick of time!! look what came today!! this is me uncovering my car after work! :( ... i am not a fan of snow!
october sure has been a fun month of visits from family!! this week we got a visit from ian and sara!! ian and my mom are first cousins! we took them on a tour of logan and had a great time catching up with them both! so fun!

today was such a great day!! ann's brother and family came to logan to visit!! we showed them the sights of town!! off to the pumpkin walk, then to the new frozen yogurt shop to play air hockey and visit. then back to maryann's house. we ordered pizza and went over to their hotel while the girls swam and we visited some more!!

tonight was our ward carnival! the yw were in charge of face painting. they girls always have fun doing this and they are really quite good at it! here is caitlin as a harry potter charactor and in the back is klarisa. :)
when i went out to my car this morning, i found this box! jeff left it for me, it was a box of jami's shoes! they are really quite cute! mom and i split what was in the box! :) and... he is going to hawaii tomorrow... and rubbing it in a tad!
tonight i went to the Logan High School band concert! one of my laurels, caitlin, plays the clarinet. left side, front row, 2nd chair! i am so proud of her! she really loves being in the band!
at work they made an "october birthdays" cake!! how fun!! beware of the black icing though... it will stain your lips and teeth!! hee hee!!

tonight was bunco! we had a really fun party at alicia's home! and since we are in the beloved month of october we had to dress up!! so fun! what a great group of gals!!
when i was at the scrapbook retreat in august i splurged on some card making/home craft idea books! i bought a year subscription of them both! i have really enjoyed looking through each magazine when it arrives!
i got my hair cut this week! i really like it! too bad i can never re-create the salon look!
I LOVE MY BIRTHDAY!!! these 2 books are definite birthday traditions!! i pull them out around the 1st of october and read them... almost every night before i go to bed! so dang good!!

i mentioned to my dad once how much i love my birthday and how it was really more like a birth "month" instead of just one day! so this year he has surprised me by sending a e-card everyday since the first of october! i love it!! they are so fun!! :)
i have these wonderful solar pumpkin lights for my yard!! i love them!! they glow at night and make everything so festive!
today is my friend, jeff, birthday! he is 25 years old!! i went and found as many things i could with "25"... 25 ft of foil, 25 piece puzzle, 25 candles, 25 army men, 25 pipe cleaners, 25 square feet of toilet paper, 25 fortune cookies, 25 paper clips, 25 suckers, 25 square feet of yellow ribbon, 25 birthday plates, 25 pencil erasers... the list goes on! hee hee!
today was another fabulous day! my aunt paula also went to the librarian conference in salt lake but she had a different schedule than steve did. when paula was done my mom and i picked her up from the hotel and went to lunch! we had such a fun visit with her!! she is such an amazing woman!! after lunch we took her to the airport! it was a quick trip, but soooo worth it!
ann and julie went on a roadtrip this weekend and sent me a picture at some of the places they went to! it was kinda like a scavenger hunt!! this was one of the pics i got... looks like fun to me!!
what a fabulous day!! my uncle steve had a librarian conference in salt lake this weekend and decided to take today off and come up to logan!! wahoo! what a fun day we had! we went up the canyon a bit and then had a picnic lunch. we stopped by USU and got some freshly made aggie ice cream! mmmm! then we went to cox honey to show steve the cool stuff they have there. steve is a beekeeper, so he thought it was pretty cool! next off to the house to visit and look at pics! we ended the day with an early dinner at the beehive grill! it was wonderful to see him! :)
tonight mom and i had the opportunity to visit with some dear friends! amy hall-carr and i have been friends since kindgergarten!!! she was my first very best friend! :) her sister lives in the valley and amy had come to visit! how fun it was to catch up after over 15 years of not seeing each other!! from left to right: marianne, alice, amy, sally and me!
wahoo! let the countdown begin!!! this morning when i came into work this is what i saw!! the birthday banner up and a fabulous countdown chain by my desk! i get to take one link off everyday!! in case you didn't know... I LOVE MY BIRTHDAY!!!! 17 days! wahoo!
we just got a Texas Roadhouse in logan!!!! i can't wait to go!!! the great thing about this particular one is that 100% of all profit is donated to charity!!! the only one of its kind in the US! i want to frequent this place often to show my support! i sure hope it is a huge success!
this morning i needed to be in murray at 5am for their inventory. so we decided we would get a hotel on our way home from visiting sam. we stayed at a Stay America, and it was ok. nothing too fancy. the crazy thing was that right after i fell asleep some annoying loud noise started coming out of the a/c unit!!! it sounded like an alarm of some kind. to be honest, we still aren't sure what happened, but it happened twice!!! ya... i woke up tired today!!
i also found a bunch of these pencils while i was cleaning the basement yesterday! my little brother is samuel hawkin carroll and my mom had these made for him when he started school. it was fun to find them! today we went to go visit sam and i brought him a few of these! he loved them! what good memories!
