this really has been a rough month! the random acts of kindness that have been shown to me are what have gotten me through it all! this little date basket is one of those randoms acts! our relief society president brought over this cute basket full of things for a fun date! gift card to rent a movie and lots of snacks!! what fun! i am so grateful for the wonderful people in my ward and neighborhood.
megan summers got married today!! i met megan at sam's club many moons ago! she is such a cute and fun girl! i am very happy for her and her new husband! i wish them the very best!
these were marked way down this week at sam's club so i bought a ton of them! they are good! mmmm! chocolate makes everything better.
in the madness of this crazy, awful week- there was a bright moment!!! i got a package from my friends who own paperloft paper! they sent me the "Jennie" paper!!! i love it! this is it! the cute pink and brown slug bug paper is called "Jennie"! after me!! thanks sandi and marsha! i am so honored and i totally love this paper!!
swine flu has been a big deal recently. schools have closed and people have died. not good. this cute pic has been floating around saying this is how the flu started! funny! :) anyway... my good friend, jeff, has the swine flu! not funny at all! he has been very very sick! his parents came and got him and took him back home with them! this family has been through so much! and now this! geez! anyway, they are thinking that jeff will be just fine... just a little scary at the moment!
sooo... in our office at work we decorate for everyone's birthday. angie's birthday is in march... we put this on the wall for her birthday ... in 2007!!!!!! and it's still up! ha! i love it! she has been out on maternity leave... and back and now is getting ready for her 2nd baby!! and still... her name is on the wall! makes me chuckle! we call it angie's office because her name is on the wall! lol! fun times!
happy father's day dad!! i didn't do a whole lot for my dad this year... been a rough week. but i did call and wish him a happy day! this is my youngest brother, marcus, with my dad. love you dad!
ann and i went to jami's funeral this morning. it was a good service. there were tons of people there! lots and lots of family!! jeff was a pall bearer and julie, jami's sister, did the life sketch. it was a very emotional day. i went out to the graveside service as well. i am really glad that i was able to be with this family today. my heart is with each of them... russ, sharon, julie and jeff.
i love hannah montana!! my friends, maryann and kristine, gave me this very cool bag!!! i love it!!
i went out to visit jami's family today. i had a nice visit with jeff and his mom, sharon. it was very strange to walk in the house and not have jami's hospital bed in the living room. we talked about jami and the adventurous and spunky girl she was. they are such amazing people, all of them! i love this family! jami had such a huge influence on so many!
jami's loved bright and cheerful little things all around her! she had stuffed animals, magnets, window clings... the list goes on. right before i left sharon asked me if there was something i wanted. this lady bug magnet jumped out to me immediately! i love it! i now have something that will always remind me of jami. thanks.
today one of the coolest people ever- jami petersen- returned to her Heavenly Father. jami has been suffering with a desmoid tumor and multiple other issues for a couple of years. even with that being said, her death was somewhat of a shock. she passed away at 1am with her mom by her side. jeff, her brother and a very good friend of mine, text me about 1:15 to tell me the news. it has been a very hard day. my heart hurts and the tears don't stop.
i love you jami! thanks for making a difference to me. i will always remember you.
part 2 of our road trip... we heading over to soda spring, idaho. they have a small geyser there. this was BEFORE we got soaked!!! it was fun! but we stood down wind and were paralyzed when the water kept coming! lots taller and more water than we imagined would come out of that little hole!!!! it was pretty funny and most of us had to completely change clothes when it was all said and done! lol!
its a good thing i have started to feel better cuz us girls took a road trip!! we headed to idaho for a voicemale concert! we got a hotel room and had a really fun time! annie was being silly and mom snapped this pic of our reactions! me, julie and maryann's head... what a fun day!

this week has been girls camp... and since i have been so sick i was not able to go! :( i miss my girls! but it is probably a good thing i didn't go... it has been raining the entire time! would not have been good for this cold! love you girls! enjoy going on your mission to tonga!
i really don't feel good this week... so i wanted to post something that totally cheers me up... whew! i think i am getting a fever just looking at this HOT man!!! :)
tonight was bunco!! i love bunco! i am not really feeling well, but i couldn't miss bunco! ha! i kept my little bottle of anti-bacterial sanitizer with me, that way every time i coughed, sneezed or blew my nose i could get sanitized! i didn't want my germs to get on those green dice!! today was also nicky smith's birthday! i am so glad she is a part of my life and bunco! :)
these 2 gals are 2 peas in a pod! debbie and luwanna are friends of mine from sam's club. they are the face of the front end! :) they are also both in my bunco group! so fun! what would i do without my sam's club family?!
my beautiful friend alicia has been trying to gear up to send her husband, tim, to iraq. he will be gone for anywhere from a year to 18 months!! she is super brave! i am not sure i would be able to do that! i wish them both the very best!
not only to the stomach problems i have been having... i think i am starting to get a cold too! i am falling apart! these drops have saved me! they taste yummy and take away the scratchy throat... nice.
