we are so lucky, we are able to send my brother care packages every month. he looks so forward to them! well, apparently the box was too big and they sent it back!! :( i feel bad... but at least he will get some pretty good stuff next month! :)
we flew home today... but before that... we called a taxi to come get us and take us to the airport this morning. kris told them that there would be 2 women and 4-5 suitcases, so we are thinking we might get a larger taxi. nope. we got this little tiny car. ha! plus!! the dricer was a little odd! he had a carseat in the backseat that we had to work around too! plus all of our luggage!! it was super squishy! and the guy... older, short shorts and half of the buttons on his shirt undone revealing his hairy chest. you get the picture. ya, i gagged too. what an adventure!! :)
what an amazing day!! we had the last half of our workshops- which were fabulous! our big closing social was great! and they served dessert first! yummy! so pretty, i almost didn't want to eat it! the dinner was followed by an amzing keynote speaker and an auction that raised lots of money! wow!
sorry this pic a fuzzy... but it is tim holtz!!!! today we attended the first half of our classes! this man is amazing! so talented, of course, but he is funny! i loved his project, product and attitude! so dang great!
oh the fun we are having!!! we toured the bazzill factory, shopped at a huge scrapbook store and registered for the fun workshops!! there is a casino near by our hotel and it is connected by a man made river. well, they have these free water taxi's to go back and forth! this guy was hilarious! he sang songs and had us laughing the entire time! so fun!
what a fun day!! today kris and i flew out to arizona to attend creative escape, by heidi swapp. so dang excited to attend this elite scrapbooking event! this is the patio of our hotel room! the hotel is huge! most hotels are tall... not this one... it is looooonnnng! we are clear on one end of the hotel and the convention is on the opposite end! probably a mile walk one way! oh well! we are having fun!! :)
today is my dad's birthday! i wish i was able to be there with him to help celebrate! he is a great man and i am thrilled to have him in my life. love ya dad!
one of the yw traditions is to go to angies restaurant and "clean the sink", a huge sink full of ice cream, fudge, bananas, whipped cream and nuts!! we usually do this at the beginning of the school year and the girls love it! they look forward to it every year! what a good looking group!
i have to admit, i have been a bit behind in updating this blog. i take the pics and make the notes of what they are, i just haven't been good about posting them... so here is my attempt to get everything all caught up! :)
this is the reunion weekend for sure!! today we were able to meet up with my old co-workers from coach house gifts, my first job when i moved to logan and just had gotten home from my mission. wendy was my manager and georgianne was the hallmark manager. these gals are super! it was fun to catch up with everyone! we were just missing jen and noelani! maybe next time!
i had the pleasure of attending a wedding today in idaho falls. this family is amazing! they were "my family" when i was on my mission! such great people! adam was on a mission while i was, so i don't know him as well, but i heard all about him. momma marie is one of the most kind women i have ever met. she helped set up me being able to talk to my dad on christmas. lisa (the beautiful bride) and i hit it off right away because we have the same birthday! we call each other our "twin". aimee is the oldest girl and a sweet lady. and the baby of the family, peter, is a good guy. i am so blessed to have them each in my life.
we are moving up in the world!! we now have our very own walgreens! i hope it does well. i am a little worried about a new business opening up in this economy, but lets hope it helps!
every now and again sam's club will start a new program. the 5's program is what is really important right now. sort, straighten, sanitize, standardize and sustain. everything needs to have a place and be labeled. so, now our office is labeled. no one will get confused as to where they are.
tonight for yw/ym they went to the martin harris pageant. they had fun! the girls always have a good time on "outings".
sometimes when i pack a lunch for work it just doesn't sound good when its time to eat it! that is when old girst mill comes in handy! they have fabulous sandwhiches that come with a bag of chips and a drink for $5! we just can't resist the yumminess of these homemade sandwhiches! :) mmmmm!
i am so lucky to live in a town that has a temple in it! what a magnificent building! love it!
i have soooo many bracelets! but i love making and wearing them! i need to hang up another couple rods to hang them on! these are getting pretty full! :)
it is always so exciting to get the new avon catalogs! i haven't been buying as much lately... but it is still fun to flip through the pages! :)
i love this man. he is so blasted cute. makes my heart melt everytime i see him.
